If you are downloading and installing this for the first time after this date, then you will not need Service Pack 1, found further down on this page. Those updates have been incorporated into these CAB files.

Known issues:

When attempting to uninstall it will fail. Running the CAB file again will actually uninstall it completely instead of re-installing it. Running it again after that will re-install.

SenseUI 2.5 QuickLink Transparencies

Instructions: Download CAB file. Install to device memory (not SD card). Reboot.

Here are 3 different versions of transparencies for the QuickLinks located on the Home Tab, Contacts Tab, Internet Tab and the Programs Tab / Start Menu.

There are 3 CAB files available. One for each version and each CAB file contains transparencies for all 4 screens shown. The "stock" version is shown just for comparison.

This is untested with the CHT mod.

Version A - Removes the shading from the center of the QuickLink, but keeps the border and text background

Version B - Additionally removes the border around the QuickLink icon, but still keeps the text background

Version C - Additionally removes the text background under the QuickLink

SenseUI 2.5 Glass Slider Tab / Transparent Bottom Curtain

Instructions: Download CAB file. Install to device memory (not SD card). Reboot.

This is a hodge-podge of several versions of this available from both the XDA and PPC forums. I have kept some elements from various versions while removing others and also have added some of my own elements.

This will give you a glass slider tab on ALL sliders and a transparent bottom curtain for all sliders EXCEPT the Photo Albums slider.

This includes both graphic elements as well as Mode9 fixes. Therefore it should be the LAST modification you install (including the icon pack above and / or any custom sliders you may have).

This is untested with the CHT mod.

Known issues:

On the All Contacts and Individual Contacts sliders, the icon under the glass tab becomes more and more off center the further to the right you slide.

Transparent Calendar Background

Instructions: Download CAB file. Install to device memory (not SD card). Reboot.

This has been tested and does work with the CHT Mod.

This works in both portrait and landscape views

Carrier Logo Banners

This mod is only for my fellow Verizon Wireless customers.

Instructions: Download CAB file. Install to device memory (not SD card). Reboot.

This will NOT work with the CHT Mod.

Stocks Tab - Remove Yahoo Logo

This will remove the Yahoo logo from the Stocks tab.

Instructions: Download CAB file. Install to device memory (not SD card). Reboot.

This has been tested and does work with the CHT Mod.

Please note that the Yahoo logo is a hyperlink and this only removes the image.

The area on the screen where the logo was will still function as a link.

Additional Home Tab Transparencies

Instructions: Download CAB file. Install to device memory (not SD card). Reboot.

This is untested with the CHT mod.

These will remove the shaded background behind the clock on the home tab as well as the shading from the Date / Alarm / Voicemail area on the home tab.

There are 2 versions. Version A will remove the shading but will retain the highlight when the area is pressed. Version B will remove both the shading as well as the highlight when the area is pressed.

This has been tested and does work with the CHT Mod.

These icons are for xda member meltwater's Facebook Tab mod

If you are using this mod, and want some icons that I think blend better into the stock SenseUI slider, you can use these.

They are available for a stock slider, as well as a glass / transparent slider.

Each cab includes active and non-active slider icons, large preview icon and icon for the re-arrange tabs settings page.

SenseUI 2.5 Icon Pack - Service Pack 1

This Service Pack is not a replacement to the Ultimate Icon Pack, but rather an addition to it.

You will not need these if you have downloaded and installed the Ultimate Icon Pack (the first item on this page) after September 6, 2010.
